She is a Practitioner of Child and Youth Counselling and is working towards her Bachelor Business Administration in Mental Health and Psychology. She has been tutoring privately for the past 17 years. Many students under her tutelage have moved from Special Education classes in elementary to Applied Classes in High School. Some have even moved into Academic English and Math in High School. Her practices include but are not limited to Life Skills Assistance, Mental Health Counselling, Mood Management, Behaviour Therapy, and Acquired Brain Injury Treatment and Rehabilitation. Melissa specializes in anti-discrimination and advocacy, healing racial trauma, family trauma, and social trauma for individuals with special needs including but not limited to; Autism, Down Syndrome, physical limitations, and many other needs.
